DAY 1
Arrival Pangkalan Bun - River Cruise & Wildlife Encounter
Recommended arrival: Morning or early afternoon flight
Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport, meet and greet with our English-speaking guide, followed by a short transfer (±20 minutes) to Kumai Harbor.
Highlights:
Journey Starts: Cruise the Sekonyer River, spotting macaques and exotic birds from the deck
Tanjung Harapan: Witness the afternoon orangutan feeding session and learn about local conservation.
Hotel: Deluxe / Super Deluxe Houseboat

DAY 2
Camp Leakey & Conservation Experience
Recommended start: Early morning
Deepen your connection with the rainforest through world-class research sites and hands-on conservation.
Highlights:
Camp Leakey: Explore the legendary site established by Dr. Biruté Galdikas and observe orangutans during a guided forest walk. Enjoy a guided forest walk and observe the orangutan feeding session in their natural rainforest habitat. In the late afternoon, cruise downstream and anchor at a peaceful location along the river.
Optional – Forest nature & People Foundation (FNPF) Tree Planting: Contribute to the rainforest’s future by planting a tree in your name (USD 5 per tree).
Lunch is served onboard before arriving at the camp.

DAY 3
Pondok Tanggui - Local Village - Firefly Experience
Recommended start: Morning
Connect with the local culture and witness a magical natural light show on your final full day in the park.
Highlights:
Pondok Tanggui: Capture incredible photos during the close observation of orangutan feeding session at 09:00.
Tanjung Harapan Village: Experience the daily life of traditional riverside settlement and gain insight into the local culture
Nipa Palm Area: Witness thousands of fireflies illuminating the riverbanks, magical and unforgettable experience
Dinner onboard

DAY 4
Return to Kumai - Departure
After breakfast, cruise back to Kumai Harbor, followed by a transfer to Pangkalan Bun Airport for your onward flight.
